Brothers and Sisters!

Okay, basically Role Playing is either

A: Writing a basic storyline, world, races, powers, etc. then making a character and writing a story of what the characters are doing, taking turns

OR

B: Playing along with someone's already made RP game, making your own character and adding them to the overall story.

Well, the guidelines are thus:

1- The original author makes the rules, not the players, please follow them

2- Keep in mind that unless the story says otherwise, you have to stay in period (Meaning you can't make a cyborg character in a medieval story)

3- Define your posts, The prefix IC: means In Character and you're telling the story, example:
IC: The guards walked down the hall, laughing and pleased with a fine meal mearly an hour ago...
The prefix OOC: means Out Of Character and means you're asking somthing or making a comment, example:
OOC: Mollica, is your character *name of character* one of the enemies or is she one of the allies?

4- Be Thoughtful! If there are three people playing in the RP, use a little curtosy and allow them to take their turns before you make another post. And players, if you know you're not going to be able to make another story post soon due to a school assignment you've got to focus on, an out of town visit, or just waiting it out, say so, so the story can go on.

5- Unless you get permission to do so, don't controll any one else's character.

6- NO GODS! Your character has to be some sort of person with strengths and weaknesses, no almighty characters please. I'm not saying you can't have a powerful character, but make one who is balanced with some sort of weakness or sommat. Superman is cool, but a guy like him who can do anything and stop anyone is boring and lacks imagination.

7- When you make a story post, please move the story along. I personally really hate those story posts that are one sentance long. They don't move the story along, they are rarly important, and their goddamn annoying to work around. Your post doesn't have to be 18 paragraphs long, but it has to do somthing so other people can work with it.

8- If you're going to have one character design that you're going to augment to fit any RP, it's all right, just stay within the boundries of the story.

If you have any questions regarding these general rules, just ask here. Regarding the spicific RP's, Private Message or Post the owner. HAVE FUN!
